In a nutshell

Skitch was the quickest way to point at something on a screenshot: an arrow, a word, done. iSkitch brings that back as a native Mac app. It lives in the menu bar, captures with ⌥⌘4 and opens the editor straight away, with Skitch-style arrows, text and stamps, numbered callouts, highlighter, blur and pixelate, crop and resize. The result goes out through the macOS share sheet, by drag and drop or with ⌘C.

It's built by one developer, who also answers every support email, and most updates come from what users ask for. You can follow them in the changelog.
